The Falls Festival Harm Minimisation Strategy Standards of Best Practice.

YNOT, the Falls Festival Organisers, the LINK Youth Health Service, Youth ARC, PCYC, Pulse Youth Health Service.

A working committee has been established to address the safety issues associated with young people and workers  at Falls Festival and similar events.  The aim is to increase safety and reduce the risk asociated with attending and working at the event through the design and implementation of  harm reduction and harm minimisation's strategies.  Especially around the areas of alcohol, drugs and related induced violence.

The Cheryl's Angels program is designed to create a special safe place for your women aged 15 & 16 years. To allow them to explore ideas, to have confidence & to be creative in their own way, to develop a strong sense of self, build on respect and dignity & be able to explore a healthy relationship with themselves and attending this idea to others.

The READY SET GO Driver Mentoring program is aimed to assist  people of driving age who are unable to gain their 50 hours driving experience.  Learners are matched with a mentor. Volunteer mentor drivers receive accredited training and professional supervision.  RSG is creating opportunities and increasing safety!

'After Burn' is an important workshop for Youth and Community Workers, Social Workers, Health Workers, Job Network Personnel, Managers of Departmental Teams, Principals and/or Administrative Staff, Teachers and Teacher's Aides.  It's about remaining passionate and energised about what we do without burning the candle at both ends.
